Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is allocated in order that support is given to those children identified as being entitled to, and receipt of, free school meals (FSM) and children who have been in receipt of FSM any time over their last 6 years. It is also directed towards children who are Looked After (by the Local Authority), or who are under Special Guardianship and those who are adopted.

Pupil Premium funds may be spent in any way the school sees fit for purpose, so long as we are able to demonstrate that the specific needs of the FSM children have been addressed and how the additional, and specific, funding, intended to compensate for disadvantage, is being used

We have designed a programme to support our disadvantaged children and to also provide some support to other children who are on the threshold of need, and those who may become disadvantaged for periods of time.

The funding supports disadvantaged children who need gaps in their knowledge, skills and understanding filled, and those who are our most able – so that they may reach their full potential.

Our Quality First Teaching is the first offer to all children and is led by the teacher. There is extra support, given to the teacher and class to boost opportunity and experience.
